In the darkest period of the Middle Ages we devised a variety of physical tortures, which served especially the punishment of female breasts. This was no coincidence, because in them you could see the seat of the devil, the seducer, and the nipples were even referred to as the devil's eyes.
This connection with the devilish justified all the perfidious methods during interrogation of witches and in the punishment of adulteresses.
