It is a rider of the witch-hunters who falls, when Lioba, the blonde daughter of the Hatter, gets in the way. Furious, the minions are now hunting the innocent maid, seizing her and pulling her through the muck to get her to the witch-tower.
Chained, she spends the first night in the dungeon, and is greeted by dark figures who fumble and grope her. The next day she comes to court and she is accused of having entered the night with demons. But her confession is lacking to punish her justly.
